Collierville Literacy Council (CLC) was founded in 1987 by a group of volunteers who saw the imperative need in our community for an
Adult Basic Education / Literacy Program. In the years since its conception, CLC has expanded to include personalized tutoring services for adults who are preparing to earn their
GED, and for those in our area who wish to learn English as a learned language
(ELL).
A
Volunteer Board of Directors from our community governs the council.
As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, CLC provides its services to the community with only a small registration and assessment fee.
In 2012, CLC received Accreditation from ProLiteracy America.
