Coffee and Conversation
An English conversation group for English language learners
 

The Collierville Literacy Council is pleased to introduce
Coffee and Conversation, an English language
conversation program for English language learners.
 
Listening and speaking are integral parts of learning a new language.
By providing a conversation group, we hope to provide our ELL
students with an additional opportunity to improve their English skills.
 
If you are learning English and would like to practice
conversing with native speakers, please join us at a gathering.
 
If you belong to a civic group or organization that would be interested in
 hosting a Coffee and Conversation event, please contact us at 901-854-0288.

 
 
 
 
  • Learners at all levels are welcome.
  • Literacy council staff will be in attendance.
  • Refreshments will be served.
  • English speakers are also invited.

    The Coffee and Conversation program has been a big success, with numerous English language learning students and members of the community attending the meetings. In the past year, thanks to the generosity of our hosts and the enthusiasm of our students, attendees have made new friends and learned a bit more about their own community, and the larger world around them.
